When is my baby due?

Your baby’s due date is typically calculated based on the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP).  So mark off the first day of the last period you remember. Then take a diary and count 280 days from that day.  This is 40 weeks or 9 months (give or take a few weeks).

Most women conceive in the middle of their cycle (in between your period).  This is your most fertile time of the month.  If you know the exact day you conceived on, you will mark off that day and then count 266 days from conception.

Go to the clinic as soon as you think or know you’re pregnant. It is the best time to start your care to make sure both you and your baby are healthy.
